Overview

I implemented a Stable Fluid simulation using Three.js.
This work was created from a desire to explore dark and mysterious atmospheres through fluid dynamics.

Visual Expression

In this piece, the fluid represents perpetually dark storm clouds, while intense flickering scenes depict lightning flashing within the tempest.
The characters "深淵" (abyss), which also serve as the work's title, remain invisible in the initial state, hidden beneath the fluid surface.

Interactive Element

When mouse interaction creates violent air currents that disturb the dark clouds, the word "深淵" emerges through gaps in the storm.
Indeed, when you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.

概要

Three.jsを使用してStable Fluidシミュレーションを実装しました。
流体表現を用いて暗く神秘的な雰囲気の作品を創造したいという思いから制作に至りました。

視覚的表現

本作品では、流体が永遠に晴れることのない暗雲を表現し、激しく明滅するシーンは雲間で閃く稲妻を表しています。
作品タイトルでもある「深淵」の文字は、初期状態では流体に覆われて不可視の状態にあります。

インタラクティブな仕掛け

マウスインタラクションによって激しい気流が暗雲をかき乱すと、雲の切れ間から「深淵」の文字が姿を現します。
そう、深淵を覗くとき、深淵もまたこちらを覗いているのです。
