Overview

Implemented using Three.js and custom shaders. This work emerged from exploring the poetic fusion of AI-generated 2D images and 3D space, seeking new possibilities of expression.

Visual Expression

The transparent outline-only boxes visualize the "boundary between existence and non-existence." These incorporeal cubes express the essence of "twilight"—that special time that is neither day nor night, when reality becomes most ambiguous. The background features a fantastical lakeside twilight scene created by generative AI, with city lights reflecting on the water surface and cherry blossoms adding to the poetic atmosphere.

Concept Exploration

The core of this work lies in simultaneously exploring multiple "boundaries." "The boundary between 2D and 3D," "the boundary between day and night," and "the boundary between reality and fantasy"—all of these converge within the time of twilight, creating ambiguous and beautiful expressions.

Interactive Element

Clicking changes the time while causing the boxes to randomly fluctuate. This represents the instability of existence arising from twilight's ambiguity and the ephemeral nature of things existing on boundary lines.
